About Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley was an American singer and actor who became one of the most influential figures in the history of popular music. Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, in 1935, he began his recording career with Sun Records in Memphis in 1954 and quickly developed a distinctive style that brought together rock and roll, country, gospel, blues and rhythm and blues influences.
